Location : Onsite daily in the Rockville, Maryland, office

The Business Development Representative (BDR) is a part of the Revenue Operations team. A successful BDR generates new business opportunities by finding and qualifying leads, making initial contact with potential buyers, and support to nurture these leads. The BDR focuses on expanding fusionSpan’s customer base through various outreach strategies. 

Responsibilities:

Lead Generation and Prospecting

  • Research and identify nonprofit and association prospects that align with fusionSpan’s services
  • Initiate outreach through cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other channels
  • Maintain accurate records of lead activities and stages in Salesforce CRM

Initial Outreach and Qualification

  • Make first contact with prospects and gather key information about their needs
  • Qualify leads based on alignment with fusionSpan’s solutions and target markets
  • Schedule discovery calls or demos for senior team members as needed

Collaboration and Nurturing

  • Work closely with the Revenue Operations team to support lead nurturing strategies
  • Ensure smooth handoff of qualified leads to Account Executives or Solution Architects
  • Help maintain a healthy, data-driven sales pipeline

Tracking and Reporting

  • Track activity and KPIs regularly to assess performance and optimize outreach
  • Contribute to pipeline reports and provide insights on lead quality and conversion trends

Qualifications (Required):

  • Experience working with nonprofits, associations, or mission-driven organizations
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM or Salesforce-based solutions
  • Understanding of AMS/CRM implementation cycles or digital transformation services

Qualifications (Preferred):

  • Experience in an AMS or CRM implementation business
  • Experience with Salesforce or Salesforce-based or related products is strongly preferred
