Salary Range: $53,000 - $80,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, components, and MRO items.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with vendors to achieve cost savings.
• Issue purchase orders and manage their lifecycle to ensure on-time delivery.
• Monitor supplier performance, addressing issues related to quality, delivery, or compliance.
• Collaborate with production and planning to optimize inventory levels and prevent stockouts.
• Identify and implement cost reduction strategies without compromising quality or supply.
• Manage supplier relationships and foster long-term partnerships.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in direct purchasing within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) for procurement.
• Strong negotiation and strategic supplier relationship management skills.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and manufacturing processes.
• Solid understanding of supply chain management principles, including inventory control and logistics.

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience with specific ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365).
• Technical understanding of manufacturing processes, components, or materials relevant to the industry.
• Exposure to global sourcing and international supply chain dynamics.
