Leidos Defense Systems is actively seeking a Chief Software Engineer to join our dedicated team in creating unique solutions for complex problems. The successful candidate will support projects for the Defense Intelligence Community, military, and large prime contractors. The position entails performing systems requirements evaluation, functional studies, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition, technical management, integration, system testing, and quality assurance. Frequent interaction with the customer through in-process reviews, customer visits, and demonstrations is also part of the role. The selected candidate will need to have a deep technical background, outstanding project management skills, and a passion for driving innovation in software development. Additionally, a familiarity with software development, integration, and test, as well as requirements development and verification, is required, with a modeling and simulation background being a plus.
