Job Description

This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS), Data and Systems Group (DSG). As a Social Science Research Analyst, referred to here as a Data Quality Lead, GS-0101-14, you will provide technical direction and leadership to a highly technical professional staff.

Duties

• Serve as the technical lead on qualitative and quantitative analyses development to inform decision making by senior leadership and coordinate and liaise with other entities within CMS, the Department, and states.
• Lead the team for renewal data, monitoring, public reporting; the CMCS and CMS Data workgroups (cross component). The incumbent may directly be reflected in major Federal program decisions, and/or legislative proposals.
• Provide expert and authoritative guidance and technical assistance to leadership regarding Medicaid, CHIP, and BHP data, and associated policy and operational implications.
• Lead projects or studies analyzing the efficiency, effectiveness and/or outcomes of the Medicaid/CHIP and BHP programs.
