About the Role
We are seeking an Experienced Tax Preparer to join our accounting team for the upcoming tax season. This seasonal, in-house position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work with a team in a professional CPA firm environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals
- Prepare some business tax returns for small businesses, partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations
- Review tax data and ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations
- Communicate with clients to collect financial information and resolve tax questions
- Assist with tax planning and year-end adjustments as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy across all client files
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on tax preparation experience preferred
- Experience using UltraTax CS or similar professional tax software
- Strong knowledge of current IRS and state tax regulations
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and communication
