Job Description

SH-783- Janitor and Cleaner ,St. Petersburg FL. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Cleaning & Maintenance

Perform deep cleaning of the facility, particularly during the first week of assignment.
Clean and maintain the first-floor lobby, courtrooms, judicial suites, break rooms, kitchen areas, housekeeping/storage rooms, and maintenance rooms.
Clean first-floor windows.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize all assigned areas.
Properly use and maintain custodial equipment, including housekeeping carts, mops, brooms, vacuums, and standard cleaning tools.
Safely handle and apply cleaning products appropriate for different surfaces.

Safety & Compliance

Follow all safety, security, and cleaning protocols within a court facility.
Maintain cleanliness standards consistent with a professional judicial environment.
Comply with dress code requirements (casual attire; no inappropriate clothing per court dress code).

Qualifications Education & Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a custodial or maintenance worker required.
Two (2) years of custodial or maintenance experience may substitute for the education requirement.

Required Skills & Abilities

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Knowledge of cleaning products and techniques for treating various surfaces.
Ability to operate standard custodial equipment safely and efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform deep cleaning tasks.
Ability to work independently and follow assigned schedules.
Must be able to pass a Level 2 background check .

Work Environment

Three-story judicial building approximately 55,000 square feet.
Indoor work environment with exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment.
High-security court facility requiring professionalism and confidentiality.

1 Month contract - Possible extension.
