Insurance Defense Attorney – Premises Liability Focus

Key Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of premises liability matters from inception through resolution.
Conduct depositions, draft and argue motions, and handle discovery.
Prepare cases for trial and participate in mediations and hearings.
Collaborate with clients, experts, and internal team members to develop litigation strategies.
Maintain accurate billing records and meet monthly billable expectations (150 hours/month).
Utilize modern legal tech tools including Microsoft 365, document management systems, and billing software.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance defense litigation, with a strong focus on premises liability.
Strong litigation skills across all phases of the litigation process.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Trial experience is a plus but not required.
