Part-Time Mobile Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist

APPS - American Para Professional Systems, Inc. (APPS Paramedical) is one of the largest paramedical companies in the United States. The Western Washington office seeks experienced medical professionals to conduct insurance physical exams at client homes or offices on behalf of insurance carriers.

Preferred applicants are bilingual. Location: Kirkland, Redmond, Bothell, Kenmore.

Base pay: $22.00/hr $25.00/hr . Set your own schedule with exams 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year.

Job Summary

• Independent contractors (ICs) are self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision while completing quality exams using medical knowledge.
• Exams are performed on a mobile basis in the clients home or office and may include blood draws, medical histories, signatures on packets, vital signs, saliva samples, and 12?lead EKGs.
• Contractors must follow all compliance policies, safety procedures, and maintain accuracy and confidentiality in gathering client information.
• Exam duration ranges from 15 minutes to a little over one hour.

Job Details

• Reimbursement: You are reimbursed every two weeks by direct deposit for each exam you complete.
• Territory: Set your own territory by choosing the ZIP codes you will work within.
• Orientation: A 3?4 hour in?person orientation verifies your skills and shows you the paperwork and website used by ICs.
• Equipment: Equipment such as tablets, EKG machines, and centrifuges may be rented. Use of your own equipment will be considered but is not guaranteed. Some items will need to be purchased.

Qualifications

• Actively practicing phlebotomy with a minimum of 1 year of work experience.
• Trained in manual blood pressure and pulse collection.
• Familiarity with tablets/computers.
• Preferred experience with pediatric and geriatric patients/home health.
• EKG experience is preferred, but not required.
• Reliable vehicle with a valid state drivers license and auto insurance.

References and a background check will be conducted. Education required: High school diploma or equivalency. Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant state certification is required.
