Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Pediatric Primary Care team in providing exceptional nursing care in an outpatient setting. As a nurse, you will play a crucial role in enhancing patient wellness and delivering compassionate care that addresses the diverse needs of pediatric patients and their families, in alignment with professional standards and Prisma Health's values.

Deliver direct nursing care in adherence to established protocols, state regulations, and nursing best practices focusing on the individual requirements of each pediatric patient.
Utilize specialized knowledge and skills in ambulatory care nursing to promote health, prevent illness, and manage health-related challenges.
Conduct thorough assessments to create effective, personalized care plans tailored to the unique physical, emotional, cultural, spiritual, and educational needs of patients.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing protocols.
Document patient care clearly and accurately, ensuring all assessments, education, and safety measures are meticulously recorded.
Delegate nursing tasks to team members according to patient needs and team capabilities, fostering a collaborative care environment.
Follow established infection control and safety protocols to maintain a secure and clean workspace.
Communicate effectively with healthcare team members about changes in patient condition and any concerns.
Educate patients and their families on post-visit care strategies to promote independence and ongoing health management.
Integrate patient and family education into all aspects of care, empowering them in their healthcare decisions.
Create a nurturing environment for patients and families that emphasizes compassion and support.
Serve as a mentor and resource to colleagues and assist in their professional development.
Participate in departmental and organizational meetings to enhance team collaboration.
Complete all required compliance training and professional development opportunities.
Efficiently utilize supplies and resources to support patient care effectively.
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
Engage in ongoing professional growth, including serving as a preceptor or participating in shared governance as needed.
Adhere to all organization policies and procedures.
Perform additional responsibilities as required.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not include management responsibilities and will report to a designated supervisor or manager.
Required Qualifications
Education: Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or currently pursuing a BSN preferred.
Experience: No prior experience is necessary.
Alternative Qualifications
In place of an Associate's degree, a diploma or nursing certificate with a current RN compact/multistate license recognized by NCSBN or a state-specific license is acceptable.
Licensures and Certifications
Must possess a current RN compact/multistate license as designated by NCSBN or be licensed to practice in the respective state.
