Req Id: 18085 Posting Closing Date: Open Until Filled School Year: 2025-2026 Qualifications: Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of any GED Testing Program. Valid Florida Educator Certificate required; if not held, must obtain an Athletic Coaching Certificate from the Florida Department of Education. Knowledge of football and ability to teach and impart this knowledge. Responsibilities: Operate a football program within the school's philosophy. Manage game details for home and away contests. Assign duties to assistant coaches and ensure communication. Maintain equipment and facilities for the program. Recommend assistant coaches and letter winners. Use professional coaching methods and set a good example. Be highly competent in football rules, techniques, and strategies. Motivate staff and players, and promote positive public relations. Interpret the program to the community as part of the educational mission. Review current developments in football coaching. Ensure safety procedures are followed. Perform additional duties as assigned by the principal or athletic director. Follow all applicable laws and policies. Physical Requirements: Light work: exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.
