Summary:

This role will support engineering test and development activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating and managing Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R) for multiple OEMs, ensuring alignment with customer-specific requirements and validation timelines
  • Coordinate with external laboratories for material, paint, and thermo-mechanical testing.
  • Perform thermo-mechanical testing on final assemblies, including pull tests, shaker tests, climatic chamber evaluations etc.
  • Establish internal laboratory methods and controls based on customer-specific requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with international norms and standards
  • Maintain documentation and traceability of test results, validations, and control plans.
  • Utilize data acquisition tools to collect data, analyze and report results.
  • Analyze and resolve problems with moderate level of guidance and direction.
  • Negotiate with other departments internally and suppliers externally to meet the spec requirements.
  • Search new ways to increase overall efficiency, utilize up-to-date technology.
  • Travel to client / test sites required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience doing component and assembly testing for Tier 1 supplier
  • Proficient in developing and managing DVP&R for OEM programs.
  • Strong knowledge of material testing (e.g., flexural strength, impact, chemical resistance, paint adhesion).
  • Experience with thermo-mechanical testing (e.g., pull tests, shaker tests, climatic testing)
  • Skilled in designing and validating test fixtures for component and assembly evaluations.
  • Familiarity with bonding processes, adhesive tape validation, and glue failure mode analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS office.
