What Youll Do

We are seeking an Attorney to serve as the Director of our Tax Department, leading tax strategy for our clients across the country. This is a Hybrid, client-facing leadership role with an established book of business and significant growth opportunity.

In this role, you will:

• Lead the Legal Department, setting strategy and mentoring staff.
• Conduct client meetings, providing counsel on tax strategies, and wealth transfer.
  
• Oversee Tax preparation process for clients
• Collaborate with financial advisors, CPAs, and outside counsel to implement creative, tax-efficient solutions.
• Stay current on state and federal tax law changes to ensure compliance and proactive planning.
• Leverage Vertis Wealth and Vertis Laws established client base to grow your legal practice.

What Were Looking For

• Active Bar admission in at least one U.S. state.
• Entry-level attorneys welcome (must have passed the State Bar); experience in tax, estate planning, or business law preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex tax and legal concepts.
• Proven ability to lead teams, collaborate across professions, and provide decisive guidance.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to meet KPIs.
• Innovative, strategic thinker with a client-first mindset.
