Retail Associate

The Retail Associate collaborates with the dispensary's management team to ensure every guest receives the highest level of hospitality and experiences cannabis in the best way possible. Priorities include answering questions about the state's cannabis program and regulations, participating in community events inside/outside of the dispensary, and being able to work all FOH workstations including: Reception, Hosting, Sales Floor/Consulting, and Cashiering. The Retail Associate also assists with product organization, inventory control, communicating with guests, and being able to work all BOH workstations including: Receiving, Packaging, Stocking, Online Ordering, Order Dispatching, and Delivering.

Roles and responsibilities include:

• Following all site protocols and procedures according to local and state regulations and company policies
• Acting as a Mission brand ambassador with a high level of authentic engagement and strong productivity
• Providing excellent service to all guests while customizing recommendations on available cannabis products, industry trends, and consumption methods
• Fulfilling all product orders accurately and efficiently while maintaining workstations cleaned and organized
• Following proper cash handling of all guest transactions
• Assisting in all duties as assigned to ensure the team, department, and company division maintain success

Compensation is $17.00 non-exempt (hourly) paid on a bi-weekly basis.

This is a part-time position with open availability required for scheduling.

Skills and competencies include:

• Excellent customer service experience preferably in a fast-paced or specialized retail environment
• Proficient cash handling skills with POS systems experience
• Basic math, organizational, and computer skills
• Self-starter who can take instructions, follow directions, and work independently/with colleagues
• Strong communicator, detail-oriented, multi-tasker, problem-solver, flexible, friendly, and self-aware
• Committed to the team's success

Qualifications include:

• Retail experience, 1+ years (preferred)
• Cannabis industry experience (preferred)
• Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted
• Active and valid government issued photo identification
• 21 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain and maintain Dispensing Organization Agent Identification Card (obtained upon hire) in accordance with State law.

Working conditions involve physical exertion such as bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds), kneeling, squatting, pivoting, and carrying items/product on a regular basis. Employees will be required to stand for extended periods and may need to climb ladders or operate equipment. The warehouse/facility environment may be subject to hot and cold temperatures, and ventilation may not be available in all areas. The warehouse/facility environment may be subject to elevated noise volumes due to equipment, machinery, and the movement of goods. The warehouse/facility may be subject to dirt, dust, cleaning solutions, chemicals, and debris from the handling of goods. The warehouse/facility may have safety hazards such as slippery floors, moving equipment, and the presence of hazardous materials. You will need to follow safety protocols and wear appropriate protective equipment.
